They're heeerrrreee!

Hah after pestering the jewellers today wondering if the rings are in, they both were ready just after 6:00 today, so I rushed over and picked them up. So, without further delay: taa daaa!

You know I just HAD to try it on (and it feels like this is a pretty snug... I think they made it a half size too small, either that or my fingers are uber porky today, though my engagement ring isn't too tight. I like the ring Dave picked out even more than I remembered.

(Yes, my engagement ring looks like it's been bathed lovingly in crud. I'll clean it tomorrow, I promise. The crud in my nails may have to wait until Sunday. One thing at a time.)

Lovely! The rings really compliment each other... but, for the love of God woman, clean your pretty ring!

= parts water, mr. clean and amonnia (sp?) works best.

Oh wow...they're gorgeous.

My mom used to clean her rings with a toothbrush and toothpaste...LOL...

Kristin: I will, I will! (I usually just use handsoap and my electric toothbrush though!)

time traveller: then please reassure me that just because I broke 5 ribbons at my shower yesterday I'm not having five kids!

Mamatulip: I'm hip to your mum's toothbrush method, but without the toothpaste (i'm just not worried about it getting cavities). Thanks!

Very nice.

I hardly remember the day we brought ours home. I don't wear rings, but I still like to see Jason's on his finger.

Jay: I'm looking forward to seeing Dave's on his finger.

Rude Cactus: Yeah I'm pretty geeked about it. :)

Those are just lovely, Heather. I thought you guys'd go for a little more skull n' crossbones/screaming eagle designs, but you keep on surprising me.

So gorgeous! They are perfect...oh and the ring...go to a mall with a Birks and give it to them ... they'll do it for free even if you didn't buy it there and it comes out way more sparkly than doing it yourself. Plus I am lazy :)

Roro: Actually we changed our minds at the last second. Dave was going to get one with a giant transport truck grill but they didn't have his size. Hah!

wordgirl: I was thinking about doing that actually :P

ginny: thanks!

Sunshine Scribe: The 'shwa doesn't have Birks, but the place where I got my wedding ring is really great and has the same good quality pieces and great cleaning. I single-handedly drive up the value of stock in Windex every time I go to Birks because of my drooling on their cabinets. So many pretty, sparkly things!

Is that a sapphire and diamond engagement ring? I have a very similar one too -- how cool! It looks so nice with the wedding ring.

It feels so strange to wear the wedding ring at first, even if you're already used to the engagement ring. It's a good kind of strange, though.

Nancy: It is! We're both September babies and I love sapphires. (and it sounds like you have great taste too!) We took the rings for a test run yesterday (I'm worried they're both a tiny bit too small) and you're right, it's a good kind of strange.
